Ever since I was young (11-20), I’ve always been overweight or “Morbidly obese”, being that it’s a genetic “family thing”, I’ve never felt bad about my body or looks, I was probably at my most confident moment when I was “fat”. Which led me to keep gaining weight till I reached 275 lbs, measuring only 4'11, and leaving no room for my health.
At the beginning of 2019, I suffered from a pre-stroke due to my weight, and at the beginning of COVID-19, I decided to change my life around. I woke up one day, looked in the mirror and said, “God, I don’t wanna be fat anymore, help me change, help me be different!”. the very next morning I woke up at 6 am to start my journey, I took advantage of the lockdown we had and decided to use the staircase from my block (the street I lived in) and went up and down those stairs until I got tired & had sweat dripping like a bucket of water was poured on me (approximately 30 mins). When I started, I also didn't know what to eat or what liquids to consume, but I knew the basics. No Soda, No Junk food, No Juice, Etc. I did all sorts of diets, specifically Keto, which helped me at first, but then took a toll on my body due to not eating any carbs. I was always fatigued, low on energy & produced high cholesterol. I, too, wanted to give up multiple times. There were days when I felt lazy and like giving up, but the desire to completely change my life around had a bigger hold on me than anything. I started looking up on TikTok what was best for weight loss and got introduced to a Caloric Deficit Diet. I had no clue how to count calories or how to measure shit, I researched and also bought guides and got it packed down,
My first year I lost 80 pounds, which I then went and got a Tummy tuck and butt revision to remove my excess skin. I wish I had waited a little longer, but I was so desperate to have a flat tummy, which did not end up being that way. After my procedure in 2022, I had to work even harder. That's when I started training and hitting the gym, doing workouts I saw online. I learned how to meal prep, and researched what foods were good in a Calorie Deficit, & So my journey had just begun. Today I’ll share everything I’ve learned in hopes of helping you change your life.
